What is a dedicated server?
A dedicated server is a physical dedicated server which is racked in our state-of-the-art data center solely for you. No other tenants will use any IT resources (CPU, Ram, Storage capacity and performances) from the dedicated server you chose.
How and when will I have access to my dedicated server?
Once an order is received, our billing department will review the order and once approved, it takes around 4 hours to provision any servers with Linux based dedicated server and around 4 to 6 hours for a Windows Server based dedicated server. For 10Gbps dedicated servers, the delivery will take from 3 to 5 business days.. The credentials of the servers will be sent to your email address and you will have full root access/administrator access to your server
Are all dedicated servers compatible for my needs?
A dedicated server will provide you IT resources (CPU, RAM, Storage capacity, storage performances (IOps) and bandwidth. As long as you have the right OS and right environment (for example, PHP versions, MySQL or MSSQL, Easy apache, Litespeed, IIS etc…) for your applications/3rd party software, and that you have enough IT resources to run your project, you will be able to use any dedicated server.

What are the guarantees you offer with the dedicated servers?

What is uplink port and bandwidth?
An uplink port is the port speed that will be connected to the internet (Public WAN). We offer 2 types of uplink port for our dedicated servers. Either a 100Mbps uplink port or 1 Gbps uplink port.
The bandwidth is the internet traffic used by your server. We calculate traffic both ways (In and out traffic of your server)
How many IPs do you offer with a dedicated server?
We do offer a /29 (IPv4) with all of our dedicated server. (8 IPs, 5 usable).
What’s the minimum term I can have the dedicated server for?
By default, our services are monthly based. We do offer the option to prepay for 3, 6, 12 and 24 months that will offer you discounts of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% accordingly.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my dedicated servers?
Yes! You will not be stuck using one dedicated server. There are ways and, in some cases, might require a small downtime. We do want to offer the right hosting platform for your needs. We can always make an audit if you are not sure about the specification you will need or for suggestions.
As you are a Canadian data center, are you charging in USD or CAD currency?
What are the languages supported by Globo.Tech staffs?
All of our team members are fluent in both English and French.
What is a RAID configuration?
It is a way that we can configure for your storage units. We generally recommend RAID 1 or RAID 10 as they will mirror the data between multiple storage units for redundant purposes (ex: 2 X 1 TB HDD in RAID 1 will offer around 1TB of storage capacity). A RAID 10 configuration (Minimum 4 storage units) will provide better performances as it will distribute the write and read on different storage units. Not sure about what should you choose? Which payment options are you accepting?
We accept major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa and Amex), Paypal, Bitcoin payment through bitpay. We also do accept wire transfer with any prepayments of 6 months minimum.
Do you offer cPanel/WHM, Plesk, Direct Admin or CloudLinux?
Yes we do, you will be able to choose it when you are configuring your server.
Do you offer any other additional licenses apart from the one you offer within the dedicated server configuration?

I need a custom setup with more then one server, is it possible?
Yes, we do offer custom setup, private switch, private vlan and much more. Please contact our sales team for more informations.
Does GloboTech Communications offer migration assistance?
Yes, we do. We take migration very seriously and once request, we send a questionnaire that our clients fulfilled that provide us with many important information’s concerning the upcoming migration. An audit is also required so we have all the information’s needed on hand to help you with the migration into your new dedicated server.
Are you supporting Virtualization software?
Yes, we do! We do fully support Proxmox, VMware ESXi, KVM and many others.
Where is my server hosted?
All our dedicated servers will be hosted in a state-of-the-art data center located in Montreal, Québec, Canada.
What is Dedicated Hosting?
Dedicated hosting means that you are will be alone using your own server hardware.
By choosing a dedicated server, all the IT resources will be only available to you and you will not share any of the server resources, neither IP range with any other tenants.
What’s the difference between a VPS and a dedicated server?
A VPS is made by splitting the IT resources of a dedicated server and create multiple server (virtual private server *VPS*) using the same physical dedicated server. You are sharing IT resources with other tenants from this physical dedicated server.

fully use all of the IT resources offered by your dedicated server.
Do you offer managed backup services for your dedicated servers?
Yes, a local HDD can be used for internal backup but we do recommend external backup solutions which are managed by our team. We do offer daily incremental disaster recovery solutions where we can restore any files, folders and even the whole server using R1Soft backup solution. By default, no, but we do can offer you either a hardware firewall (Generally Cisco ones, contact our team if you need anything specific) or a software firewall solution which can be deployed suited to your needs.
